Review

MoTec Data Analysis software is very well-known to amateur and professional racing teams. It is quick and flexible and it has a very intuitive interface, if you know what you are looking for. The i2 program can be configured and customized for specific requirements you may have. I2 can provide you a wide arrange of data, like steering angle, engine rpm, corrected speed, track position, lap times, sector times, pedal pressure, among a lot of other stuff that can help you create a setting and monitor a race. You can have any number and combinations of graph, gauges and reports.

The standard version of the program can acquire data from any logging system and ECU even if its not MoTec, however it does not have the advantages of the Pro version, which requires MoTec's logging systems. This version does not include multiple overlay laps, and unlimited components as the Pro version; however the basic data analysis is still there. It even includes automatic synchronization of video and logged data.

All in all, this is a powerful tool for amateur and professionals; it is nothing less than you would expect from a company that has been in business for over 20 years. Many of the world's experts will agree that this is the software to have.
Advantages
  • Good interface.
  • Free.
  • Easy to use.
Disadvantages
  • It has none of the features the Pro version has.
